Thirty-six players enjoyed a two ball ambrose comp on the day with John Short and Ray Crosby winning the day. The day however was less about golf and more about having fun. John Horwood started off the day with champagne and orange juice for all mixed with soap bubbles floating through the air.
The ladies put on their best hats and the winner for the fashions on the field was Kath Francis.
Shirley Bullock won the best displayed buggy and Kerry Styles the best dressed male, although he looked more like a pommie pole(Morris) dancer than a jockey.
A hamburger was then enjoyed by all and many thanks to Kate and Phyllis for the catering. Thanks also to Neil Clarke for running the sweeps. As always big thanks to Danielle for her tireless work behind the bar and in the kitchen.
We hope to attract a bigger field next year.
