Five of the Burrum vets attended the Gin Gin open day on Tuesday 15th June. Warm day after some cold and drizzle the day prior. Course a bit dry but otherwise in good nik. Myself, Mike and Lorraine Drew, Mike Dally and Francis McGovern had a great day with Mike being the A division winner with myself at A division runner up. Francis won the B division men and Lorraine was runner up in ladies division. Lorraine also had longest putt and one NTP. Thirty-six players in all were at the day.

A great meal at the end of the day but before would were allowed to eat we had to assist with the unloading of a pallet of beer and place same into the big fridge. I think Bruce McCormack must have timed the delivery just right.

Even though we won just about everything we were invited back next year.
